Things I Covet
I like word "covet". It's such an unusual, beautiful and wonderful word. I'm glad Sarah Jessica Parker used it for her perfume; how very sophisticated of her!
But, to the point.
When i lived in Dallas, my daily uniform was "7 seven" jeans and American Apparel T-shirt. I mean, i lived in these things and the only thing i used to covet was some new shade of T-shirt.
In Dubai you don't just put on jeans and T-shirt and consider yourself done. In Dubai you have to make an effort - albeit minimal, but still an effort.
Firstly, it's too hot for jeans, especially right now.
Secondly, there is just too many pretty dresses, flowing tops and adorable pants screaming at you from the every corner store at the malls, so you have no choice, but give in.
And thirdly, it's just the way Dubai is. It's keen on appearances.
As i said earlier, girls here have major fever for designer bags. I mean, you walk into Loius Vuitton store, and there is a credit card/cash wielding mob out there, vying for the sales clerk's attention.
And i'm not even exaggerating.
Anyhow, right now i'm coveting LV Monogram Vernis Alma in Orange Sunset. This bag has been around for a while now, and still looks good. It seems to be practical, sturdy (duh, it's LV) and deliciously looking.
Another thing on my list is this fire-cracking hot Pom-Pom Sandals by Tory Burch, also in tangerine.
Aren't they kick-ass?
Perfect for tanned footsies.
And, BTW, i don't know what's up with me and tangerine color.
What do you covet?
